Dezmyn Trent, a 6'3" Shooting Guard/Small Forward from Tacoma's Henry Foss High School, officially signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Boise State University. Described as a "late-bloomer" by some outlets, Trent averaged 26.9 points per game during his senior campaign to garner 3A Narrows League MVP, Tacoma News Tribune's All-Area Player of the Year, and 1st Team 3A All-State. Curiously, this "Late-Bloomer" scored 18.2 points per game as a junior and 16 points per game as a sophomore.
According to Left Coast Recruiting (@LC_Recruiting) and Todd Milles (@ManyHatsMilles) of The News Tribune, Boise State fans can credit assistant coach John Rillie for identifing Trent's immense talent and, ultimately, getting him to commit to the Broncos.
This is a great article for The News Tribune about Trent: http://www.thenewstribune.com/ Trent and the rest of the 2012-2013 Foss High School Boys Basketball team is featured in a five episode documentary titled "For the Win". I have yet to watch the full feature, but from the few minutes I've seen, it seems pretty good. The full series can be seen on YouTube.
