Broncos drop in first round to La Salle

Many predicted the Broncos to finish last in the Mountain West this year. They proved everyone wrong, and received the first ever, at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. The Broncos are a year ahead of schedule, meaning they started coming together earlier than many guessed they would, especially with the young talent on the team. Unfortunately, when your opponent shoots 63% from the field, coming away with a victory gets really tough. If I recall, La Salle at one point in the second half, was shooting at 80%. They were fast, athletic, and could not miss. Lots of heads hung in disappointment - not with the players - but more with how things ended, knowing we could have played a bit better. I'm guessing Rice starts practice Monday, and the boys make a serious run at the MW Title next year.
