Boise State takes the NFL: Week Three recap

Here are the latest happenings from Boise State's takeover of the NFL.

Former Bronco MVP of Week Three: Titus Young

The oft-criticized slot receiver for the Lions came up big on the game's final play when he caught a ricochet Hail Mary pass for the game-tying score. The grab capped the best game of Young's season - 6 catches for 75 yards and that score.

If you caught the highlights of Young's catch, you may have noticed his jersey says "Young Sr." He requested this change after becoming a father this offseason and naming his son Titus. A future Boise State recruit? I probably broke 100 recruiting rules by asking that question, but seriously, future Boise State recruit?

Elsewhere ...

  • Austin Pettis came off his four-game suspension for PEDs and played in St. Louis's game against Chicago. He had no stats.
  • Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin continues to get carries, recording 19 more in the Bucs' loss to Dallas.
  • Billy Winn (Cleveland), Quintin Mikell (St. Louis), Daryn Colledge (Arizona), and Orlando Scandrick (Cowboys) all got the start for their respective teams.
  • Tyrone Crawford got the first quarterback hit of his career.
  • Kellen Moore was inactive, making him a perfect 3-for-3 on inactive lists this year (he's perfect at everything).
