ESPN's Travis Haney lists Chris Petersen as the top bang for your buck coach
This is an Insider article but you can still read the blurb about Coach Pete since he's at the top. Number 2 is Nevada's Chis Ault at number 2 and there's no arguing that for the amount that Nevada is paying for him.
Stewart Mandel updates his "program pecking order" list (HT: Kazzy)
Five years ago he grouped different programs together based on their national prominence. He explains that this is more than recent success but the overall feeling about a program nationally. Originally Boise State didn't make a grouping but they're movin' on up now. Mandel lists them in the 3rd of 4 groups. I would definitely disagree that UCLA should be ranked above Boise State but that's my only complaint so far.
ESPN's smear campaign against the Big East (HT: Loque)
This is an interesting read, however, I find it hard to believe there is some top down initiative to publicly put down the Big East. That would be quite the scandal. But, if ESPN ends up winning the TV rights for the Big East at a fraction of what they originally bid on them last year, then I think an investigation should ensue and all top level management's emails should be subpoenaed just to make sure everything is on the up and up!
Detroit Lions backup QB battle (HT: patrick)
So, the guy they brought in to compete with Kellen, R.J. Archer , only attempted 56 passes in college. Since then he's bounced around some practice squads and played in the AFL where he had some success.
Boise State 2012 "pump up" video
If it's supposed to be about this upcoming season then I think it needs more Joe Southwick and Grant Hedrick and definitely less Bleacher Report quotes.
Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!
It's been a little while since we've had some birthdays to announce but today is a special day since it is Kellen Moore's birthday along with returning sixth year senior Corey Yriarte!
