The details are out and Doug will get about $5.5 million guaranteed and a $3.3 million signing deal. The deal is actually only written for 4 years instead of 5 years. There could be a team option for a 5th year that isn't specified.
Kurt Felix leads decathlon after first day at the NCAA Championship
The Boise State senior has 4,187 points after 100 meters, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400 meters. The second and third place contestants have 4,177 and 4,065 points respectively. Today they will compete in the 5 remaining events: the 110 meter hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1,500 meter race.
The Big East is interested in the Poinsettia Bowl

MWC gains the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl
Guess it makes more sense for the MWC to have the bowl that Air Force will play in unless they make the BCS.
Shea McClellin getting used to life in Chicago
The Chicago Tribune has a nice piece on McClellin adjusting and laying low. He's trying to do his best to earn the respect of his teammates. I do think it's interesting that the article says that he played linebacker at Boise State which is a bit of a stretch. Guess they just looked at what position he worked out at before the draft.
