Favorite Boise State football highlights: Fiesta Bowl, then what?

Picking a favorite Boise State highlight, as our friends and sponsors at Samsung TV have asked me to do, is probably the single easiest assignment in the history of assignments. Fiesta Bowl, duh.

Every Bronco fan who lived through the ups and downs and really high ups of that game experienced the greatest collection of college football highlights they will ever see. The Fiesta Bowl is No. 1 with a bullet. Technically speaking, it is probably Nos. 1, 2, and 3.

What favorite highlight comes after the Fiesta Bowl?

My short list looks something like this:

  • Boise State's national championship game-winner with 12 seconds to go. Joe Alliotti found Duane Dlouhy in the corner of the end zone on fourth and 10 to beat Western Kentucky for the 1980 Division I-AA championship. The play-by-play sounds incredible, but as a child of the 80s, I have to admit that I have never actually seen the highlight. So yes, my second-favorite Boise State highlight is a highlight I haven't seen.
  • Kellen Moore to Austin Pettis to beat Virginia Tech.
  • Anything and everything from the Boise State - Fresno State game in 2001 (still my favorite Boise State game of al time).
  • The Doug Martin Show against Idaho the last time the two schools met.

How about you? What highlights come next after the Fiesta Bowl? Share your favorites in the comments.
