College football recruiting budgets released
Boise State comes in at about $129k for last year. As Drew pointed out last night, Idaho, UNLV and Colorado State all spent more than Boise State last year. In fact, Boise State was lower than everyone else in the MWC last year too. Time equals money and the low dollar figure tells me that the coaching staff isn't wasting their time on recruits they don't need or can't get.
Boise State to pay fee to join Big West?
The Honolulu Star Advertiser is reporting that Boise State is considering paying a special six figure fee to join the Big West in an effort to sweeten the deal. The story is hidden behind a login so I can't read the majority of it, but the paper claims to have spoke to a source who has talked to Boise State.
Jim Schwartz and Matthew Stafford have nice thing to say about Kellen Moore (HT: BSUPHAN1)
Stafford defended Kellen's arm strength and Schwartz said what we all expected all along: Kellen is picking up on the Lion's offense quickly and getting a good grasp on it. Can't wait for the NFL preseason to get here. I'll actually watch it this year!
