The NFL Draft moves into Day Two with Rounds Two and Three tonight (5:00 p.m. MT, ESPN and NFL Network), and several Boise State players could be in the running to come off the board. Who, what, where, when, and how? And perhaps just as important, what new hand jive will Roger Goodell come up with for the remaining green room sitters?
To give us a clue about where the remaining Boise State prospects might end up, let's see where each player sits in the positional rankings of the guys who weren't drafted last night. Here is a look at the best remaining defensive ends in the draft. I'm going with the ESPN rankings, assuming they know things.
- Courtney Upshaw, Alabama
- Andre Branch, Clemson
- Vinny Curry, Marshall
- Olivier Vernon, Miami
- Tyrone Crawford, Boise State
- Trevor Guyton, Cal
- Cam Johnson, Virginia
Here are the best available defensive tackles.
- Jerel Worthy, Michigan State
- Devon Still, Penn State
- Brandon Thompson, Clemson
- Kendall Reyes, UCONN
- Alameda Ta'amu, Washington
- Derek Wolfe, Cincinnati
- Mike Martin, Michigan
- Mike Daniels, Iowa
- Billy Winn, Boise State
- Josh Chapman, Alabama
Your best available safeties (strong and free combined):
- Brandon Taylor, LSU
- Markelle Martin, Oklahoma State
- Antonio Allen, South Carolina
- George Iloka, Boise State
- Brandon Hardin, Oregon State
There are a ton of best available tackles, and Nate Potter (who will probably play guard at the next level) is in the teens or twenties of ESPN's list.
Here are the best remaining quarterbacks, where No. 5 equals BEST QB EVAH.
- Brock Osweiler, Arizona State
- Nick Foles, Arizona
- Kirk Cousins, Michigan State
- Russell Wilson, Wisconsin
- Kellen Moore, Boise State
- Ryan Lindley, San Diego State
