Bill Hancock admits there is growing support for a 4 team playoff

Conference commissioners are meeting in Dallas this week and Bill Hancock emerged to give a few statements. He even went as far as calling it a four team playoff so I think we can put this "Plus One" term aside. No one is trying to fool themselves anymore. One interesting thing is that everyone was adamant that the championship game not be played too late and that there shouldn't be any BCS games played in the midweek after January 1st.

Pittsburgh not planning on leaving the Big East early

Pitt AD Steve Pederson told a reporter yesterday that Pittsburgh had not intention of leaving the Big East early and paying more than the $5 million exit fee. If they do hold to the 27 month waiting period, Boise State and Pittsburgh could have a season of overlap next year. Also, Brent McMurphy tweeted that there had been no talk of Boise State joining the Big East for 2012.
