With the losses of Bryan Douglas (ACL), Lee Hightower (suspension), and Dextrell Simmons (injury), Boise State's secondary has gotten contributions from Darian Thompson (RS freshman), Dillon Lukehart (RS freshman), and Donte Deayon who is a true freshman and just had his red shirt pulled. They have played really well in relief and are indicative of the type of recruit that Boise State is getting these days that's able to step in and contribute immediately.
By all standards, Boise State's offense has under performed in relation to their normal standards. While Coach Pete isn't fond of a lot of statistics he does admit that he thought they would score more points. Everyone is pretty tight lipped on what they think the cause is, but they are aware and the word "details" keeps popping up. Hopefully those can be wrapped up these final few games and give Boise State a good launching pad into next season.
It's now well known outside of just Idaho that Doug Martin isn't necessarily fond of the nickname "Muscle Hamster" so now the official Buccaneers twitter account is asking fans for suggestions and Doug will pick his favorite. Anyone got any ideas of one with a nod to his career at Boise State?
