Bowl options for Boise state looking more familiar now
With the loss to San Diego State, Boise State finally dropped out of the BCS rankings for the first time in 41 straight weeks. Depending on how the conference race turns out, Boise State could end up back in the Las Vegas Bowl. If worse things happen, they could fall to the New Mexico Bowl or even the Armed Forces Bowl.
Doug Martin goes off for 251 yards and 4 TD's
In much happier news, Doug Martin continues to be the running back we all knew he would be. Yesterday against the Raiders, Martin had TD runs of 70 yards, 67 yards, 45 yards, and threw in one for 1 yards just to cap his day off. Watch the highlights here. He became the first player in NFL history to put up 3 TD's of 45+ yards in a single game.
Brent Pease and Dirk Koetter could be on Kentucky's list for a new head coach
Kentucky finally fired their coach Joker Phillips after a terrible year. Now Pat Forde says that both former Boise State coaches could be on Kentucky's list. Pease was previously the offensive coordinator at Kentucky back in 2001 and 2002. Interestingly, Kentucky is supposedly not interested in hiring former Arkansas and Louisville coach Bobby Petrino who, personal issues aside, is the best candidate available.
