Tyler Horn to remain at tackle through the rest of the season

Horn was thrown in the tackle rotation last week after Michael Atkinson went down with a season ending injury. He played well there against Hawaii recording 2 sacks and will remain there through this season. Coack Kwiatkowski wouldn't comment on beyond this season but Coach Pete did hint that Horn could stay there since Boise State loses 3 defensive tackles this season.

Colorado State looking to continue their success running the ball

The Rams have been through three quarterbacks this year so far but have found success recently running the ball putting up over 30 points a game the past three games. They are doing it behind a pair of backs, Donnell Alexander and Chris Nwoke. Alexander is the son of the late Derrick Thomas who played linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs. If he can play with half the intensity his father played with, then he's going to be one tough guy to tackle.

Big East commissioner Mike Aresco happy with how this week has gone

The clear big win for him this week has been the news about the new bowl system and that the highest ranked conference from the "group of five" will get an automatic bid to an access bowl. Next was the announcing of divisions and when speaking to Greg Auman from the Tampa Bay Times, he notes that every school will play all 11 other schools within the next two years before the conference expands again. Hopefully he can keep the momentum going with the TV talks.

Boise State holds off Oakland 88-80 for second win of the year

Boise State had as much as a 15 points lead about halfway through the second half but Oakland was able to cut it to 5 with about 8 minutes to go. The Broncos buckled down though and held on for the in. Jeff Elorriago had a career high 17 points including four 3-pointers. Anthony Drmic had a double double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Coach Leon Rice said it was the best game they have played since he's been there.
