Doug Martin has monster night against Vikings on Thursday Night Football

Doug Martin had his coming out party last night. He had 214 total yards and 2 TD's (135 yards on the ground and 79 yards through the air). You can watch is highlights on NFL.com here and check out a gif of his hard fought TD run here. I was watching the NFL Network's post game show and I believe it was Rich Eisen who said the Northwest was familiar with what Doug Martin could do but now everyone is. Yes we are, Rich. Yes we are.

Southwick, offense getting more comfortable with deep routes

We've seen Joe Southwick connect with Dallas Burroughs and Aaron Burks in recent games and they are definitely getting their timing down. The main concern for Southwick is no overthrows. The coaching staff wants him to give his receivers a chance to make a play on the ball.

Jamar Taylor vying for MWC Defensive Player of the Year

Chadd Cripe has outlined his resume and so far Taylor has 39 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. His previous 3 seasons Taylor only had 3 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles. I'd say that defensive backs coach Jimmy Lake's emphasis on turnovers has really paid off so far.

Grab 2 tickets in the north end zone for San Diego State game for $46

That's the deal from dealsaver.com. I don't know if it's good that tickets are this cheap for someone who maybe couldn't normally go or sad that Boise State has to resort to this to sell tickets. I'm going to go with the former.

Big East commissioner Mike Aresco refutes ESPN report about 7th bowl game

Two days ago, ESPN reported that a 7th "access" bowl was unlikely. Well, yesterday new Big East commissioner Mike Aresco publicly refuted that report saying he's not sure where that talk is coming from since he hasn't heard it. PAC 12 commissioner Larry Scott also said that a decision on that game is 6-9 months off. I'm sure it was just Jim Delany trying to rile people up and derail Big East TV talks or something like that.
