Senior Bowl notes: Kellen Moore would rather meet Columbus than Shakespeare
That was an actual question poised to him by a scout at the Senior Bowl. Jason Kirk has the possible interpretations of the answers. Meanwhile, Simon Samano at NFL.com tries to make a case for Kellen benefiting from Tebow's success. Seems like a stretch to me since they have about the opposite quarterback style. Doug Martin gets praised for his blocking skills and Kellen gets criticized for his arm getting tired according to the NY Times. Chadd Cripe's report from the Senior Bowl acknowledged Kellen faltering during drills but notes that this isn't uncommon and he was at his best during live action. George Iloka performed well and looked comfortable. He came up with a diving interception from Kirk Cousins.
Jeff Elloriaga out the rest of the season with a broken thumb
The sophomore guard fractured it in the loss to TCU on Saturday. This is a bad loss for the Broncos who have lost 6 of their last 8 games and haven't posted a win in 2012 yet. Oh and they take on 12th ranked UNLV tonight.
Brent McMurphy tweets that there is strong support to increase bowl eligibility to 7 wins
Western Kentucky cheers this news while Idaho Vandal fans see their hopes of making a bowl get smaller and smaller.
Dr. Saturday looks at the possibility of a Boise State backslide
He presents both sides of the argument and I think I agree with his final conclusion. I more look at 2012 as a possible repeat of 2007. And as bad I as I remember 2007 being, I'm more than happy to complain about a 10-3 record as a down season any day.
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday to reader Billy Derome. Have an extra piece of cake for me since I started a diet.
