But how did Boise State get there? Looks like it was due to a lack of resources and expertise in compliance. Kustra vows to make sure this doesn't happen again. He also wouldn't elaborate on whether firing Bleymaier was part of the school's "key decisions" for the committee.
While we are generally happy with the penalties, reaction around the internet seems to think that even these penalties were too severe. They were at least inconsistent.

As Drew noted, this story is getting more and more bizarre. Either the new compliance department is doing and incredibly thorough/petty job or there's a bigger issue that we haven't heard of yet.
