2012 Recruit Roundup—September 11, 2011

We're in that magical time of year where you can watch high school football on Friday, college football on Saturday, and NFL football on Sunday. Screw you, Monday! As is my custom, I'll take this opportunity each Sunday to fill you in on how our 2012 recruits are faring in their senior campaigns.

Join me after the jump for stats galore.

Jack Fields, RB, Americas High (El Paso, TX)

Fields ran for 165 yards Friday night against Franklin, but never found the endzone as Americas fell to the Cougars 28-25. Fields now has 364 yards on the season and 2 scores...impressive, given that he carried the ball just once last week. The Trail Blazers are 2-1 on the year.

Shane Rhodes, WR, Klein Collins High School (TX)

Rhodes continued his stellar start to the season on Friday night making big contributions in KC's 49-23 win over Willowridge. On the night, Rhodes caught 5 passes for 50 yards and scored 2 rushing TDs on runs of 8 yards and 1 yard. Klein Collins is 3-0 on the season and has won 23 consecutive regular-season games.

Devan Demas, RB, Cypress Creek (TX)

Demas carried the ball 32 times for 198 yards and 3 TDs in a 41-6 win over Cypress Springs. Demas' scoring runs came on plays of 42, 2, and 8 yards. Demas has 322 yards and 5 TDs so thus far for Cypress Creek, who are now 2-0 on the year.

Donte Deayon, CB, Summit High School (CA)

Although Deayon will join the Broncos as a ball-hawking cornerback, he's done the most damage this season on the offensive side of the ball for the 2-0 SkyHawks. Deayon rushed for 214 yards and 3 scores on Friday evening as Summit rebounded from their season-opening loss to pound Redlands 35-14. One of Deayon's scoring runs was an 82-yarder. He has 398 all-purpose yards so far this season (330 come from rushing).

Chaz Anderson, CB, Loyola High School (CA)

Anderson's Loyola squad defeated West Covina on Friday evening to remain unbeaten on the year. Anderson had just one tackle in the win, but hauled in 3 passes for 30 yards on the offensive side of the ball.

Marcus Rios, CB, Cosumnes Oaks High School (CA)

Cosumnes Oaks dropped their first game of the season on Friday night—falling to Sheldon 28-26. Rios contributed 4 tackles on the evening. The Wolfpack is now 2-1 on the year.

Christopher Santini, N, Leland High School (CA)

Santini's squad is now 2-0 on the year after defeating Sobrato 28-21 on Friday. Santini had another big game for the Chargers, rushing for 103 yards and 2 scores and registering 13 tackles and a sack. Santini also blocked a field goal in the win and now has 332 all-purpose yards and 4 TDs on the year to go along with his 21 tackles and 3 sacks on defense.

Chanceller James, S, Steele Canyon (CA)

Steele Canyon defeated Bonita Vista 34-10 on Friday evening and, despite the full stats not being released, I can tell you that James had one TD reception that put his squad up 21-0 after halftime. Last week I reported that James squad defeated Cathedral Catholic...this was an error. They are 1-1 on the year.

Nick Patti, QB, Dr. Phillips High School (FL)

Patti's Dr. Phillips squad rolled over rival Olympia on Friday night by a score of 35-7. Patti shook off some early accuracy issues on the wet playing surface to finish the game with 2 TDs passes of 16 and 62 yards. Dr. Phillips is 2-0 on the year.

Andrew Pint, LB, Valor Christian (CO)

Valor Christian had a bye week this week. Pint has 23 tackles so far for the 2-0 Eagles.

Ben Weaver, LB, Klein High School (TX)

Weaver's squad defeated Kingwood by a score of 34-13 on Thursday night to move to 3-0 on the year. Unfortunately, no stats were found. If anyone can help finding Weaver's stats, I'd really appreciate it.

Armand Nance, TE/FB, Dekaney High School (TX)

Nance's Dekaney squad is 3-0 on the year after defeating College Park 41-14 on Saturday night. No stats for Nance have been found.

That's it for this week...if you have any stats, info, or otherwise to report, I would greatly appreciate it. Just send HERE.
