The Boise State football team will wear new Nike Pro Combat uniforms against Georgia, and they will look like this:
How about you? Are the new uniforms awesome? Are they hideous? Are they something you will end up paying $60.00 for at some point this season? Get your Project Runway on in the comments and let me know what you think. I tucked my button-up shirts into my jeans until the 11th grade, so I'm not qualified to comment.

Nike was nice enough to send me a press release with some details on the new uniforms. Here are the highlights:
Hues of blue and chrome showcase Boise State's dominance of the sky and mountain, while orange accents underscore the team's explosiveness. An asymmetrical placement of motifs around the uniform adds to the calculated unpredictability of the Broncos squad.
- Light-weight, carbon-fiber padding
- Thermoregulation for breathability
- Awkward Gene Bleymaier quote:
"We are thrilled that Boise State has once again been selected to wear the Nike Pro Combat System of Dress uniforms," Boise State Director of Athletics Gene Bleymaier said. "Our selection last year to wear the state-of-the-art uniforms against Virginia Tech created a lot of excitement for that game and we know this will do the same for our game against Georgia on Sept. 3 in Atlanta."
And for reference, here is what the Georgia Bulldogs will be wearing two Saturdays from now.

Update: 11:00 a.m.: Reaction
Internetland has been abuzz with talk about the new uniforms. Here is some of the reaction:
The new boise unis are cool but MW coaches reject saying they clash with the yard lines http://t.co/Tb3Yb6q
Seems like the Twitterverse says Oregon's uniforms are better overall, but Boise's gloves and helmet are pretty sweet.
SB Nation Atlanta's Jason Kirk likes the Bronco unis better than the Bulldogs' - and he gets paid to be biased the other way.
Gotta say I like theirs way more than ours. That much white is far easier to digest than seeing red from neck to calf. Color is tastefully (and APOCALYPTICALLY) applied
Reaction in general has been very positive for the Boise State unis. Bronco fans are definitely on board. It seems like ages ago when we were irreparably split on the shoulder flair era.
