Congratulations OBNUG!

You won’t be too nasally. Just enunciate like you have all your teeth (as compared to say, an SEC radio broadcast) and you’ll do great!

agreed

Jon " Bones " Jones new light heavyweight champion. Even if Jones got struck flush in the face he would recover and defeat whoever is in front of him. I told everyone the fight would be easy. Almost felt sorry for Rua. Anderson Silva would never fight "Bones". He is too scared to fight the real P4P champion. Nick Diaz is near the peak of his career. 2 more fights and then he fights for UFC Glory.

booohooooo

I still miss Paul J.
I know he made a coupla mistakes now and then, but he Loved the Broncos, and he had heart! Still does!

My husband and I were elk hunting one time when BSU played the Vandals in Moscow. We went to the top of the mountain above the Middle Fork of the Payette to see if we could pick up the game, and just then Paul J. was shouting “he’s on the 40! he’s on the 30! The 20! He’s going to go all…” and then PJ was drowned out by the howling of a wolf right below us. Even the wolves like Schneider and the Broncos. What an amazing cheer. A freakin’ howling touchdown!

How awesome

Did you kill the wolf? Too political for this site? Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Naaaaaa.

Idaho didn’t have a season in those years. ‘sides, I like to eat what I shoot, and carnivores get wormy. Friends have pelts from the sss days, but I love to hunt too much to risk losing my privilege & license.
And like I said, the wolf was cheering on the Broncos because of Paul J’s awesome enthusiasm! Why would I shoot a fan? Oooowwwwwwooooo!

I miss him too,

It is great to hear the calls from someone that loves the Broncos as much as we all do.

I agree

I was saying to my wife last season when we were on the way to a game… when I would normally be listening to Paul J that it almost doesnt feel like the same football season without his voice… I use to listen to him at the game just because the sound of his voice was the sound of Bronco football to me… I grew up listening to him… even now I will hear his voice on the radio doing an add or something and it feels a little like football season…

T & T have a crummy show

and mostly they have no idea what they’re talking about. Hopefully you guys can help them become relevant.

by nothingveryclever on Apr 23, 2025 9:15 AM PDT reply actions

Dave Tester is quite full of himself. Maybe someone will staple his lowerlip to his forhead. Lol

Yes, crummy is fair. If we compare them to caves/prater they are the lesser of two evils. With the addition of the OBNUG brethren on Fridays, they clearly are the better show.

I concur

T Ford is a snoozer. There is more silence on that show than there is between Idaho touchdowns…(rimshot!)

I listened to that

audio clip and have come to the conclusion that he is a closet Boise State hater. I got my eye on that guy…..

by boise on Apr 23, 2025 11:08 AM PDT reply actions

Ford definitely isn't a hater...just not a hardcore fan

He’s from Maryland, so doesn’t have much of a dog in the hunt. Admires Coach Pete and what the Broncos have done. Not a huge Robb Akey fan, believe it or not.

by Drew Roberts on Apr 23, 2025 3:59 PM PDT up reply actions

Ok Drew, I'll bite. How would one go about becoming a Robb Akey fan?

Not thay any of us ever would.

So appropos of Moscow; my brother in law let his underage daughers get drunk not just with his knowledge but support, in fact encouraged and provided alcohol.

Thought it was funny when the oldest turned 21 and gave her id to her still underage sister to use. Bragged about this, but in the all Vandal crowd he was with it was de rigeur. I was never asked, but if I had been I would have told them allowing your underage kids to drink-you might as well take all your assets and place them on the roulette wheel in Vegas.Oldest now deeply involved with an incorrugible drunk but because of her dUI experience is unable to see it. I know; I have a family history of it, and this kid has, at 22, the prematurely wizened, hardened, slighly darkened look of the serious hammerhead (when they get older they get reddened,if not gin-blossomed, and then ashened as they pale due to lower liver functioning). Last spring watched him pour a 1/3 of a bottle of vodka into a glass and top it off with a splash of mix. Not his first or last either. Many underage kids drinking and the adults could not have been unaware. We left before they became drunken pigs and I was secretly hoping one of them would wrap themselves around a telephone pole on the Pullman Moscow highway.

kids are going to drink

especially in BFE, Idaho, where there’s not much else in the way of entertainment. It makes more sense to me to have kids getting their hard drinking teenage bullshit out of the way in a parents home under some sort of supervision (or at least with an adult around) rather than the totally unsafe way that my friends and I did it - sneaking out, lying to our parents about where we were, finding whatever sketchy character would buy us cheap, terrible booze, and getting shitty with no supervision, no idea what alcohol actually does to a person, and no directives from the people in our lives other than “DARE to be drug free!” and “Drinking leads to sex, which is a sin! Don’t do it!”

It’s little wonder there are alcohol problems on campuses everywhere - we take a bunch of kids, put them together, turn em loose with a few cases of Keystone Light and no life experience, and tell them to be good little girls and boys. What do parents think is going to happen?

Right, reflectivity & munson (aw, munson's heart is throbbing with the names sidebyside)

As an aside, isn’t it interesting that grass is criminalized, yet it is really tough to wrap yourself around a telephone pole going 25 mpg (unless you are texting while doing same). I agree that home is the place for kids to be sociable, especially since no kid wants to be the designated driver and get left out of all the “fun”.

But I also have to admit that sneaking out and lying to authority is exactly what my Double D bra post was all about. We old ladies didn’t get shitfaced and jump of the 2nd level, but those ’ritas were delicious with that touch of naughty behavior as an appetizer. If I get that rush at 59, those kids are certainly feeling it at 17. The difference may be in how you handle it. Munson is right in the roulette analogy. Kids driving straight are a huge risk; “inebriated” is asking for bankruptcy and homelessness. Liver disease and pancreatitis are nothing to fool with, either. Painful, ugly, and early is that death.
Good luck, parents. Sincerely.

From CBS Sports draft coverage yesterday, but plenty of recognition of the value of Kellen Moore to the Broncos (with nice video of KM throwing to Kirby Moore and others) and general highlight reel worthy coverage of BSU and general talking head praise of the Broncos. Also praised was Doug Martin and the notable draft prospects from the 2010 season.
Nice photo of Kellen in the Orlando Sentinel, as the paper featured him in their reporting on likely 2011 Heisman contenders in 2011, third of five prospects, behind Luck and James (both Pac 12).
Noteworthy to Bronco Nation for the good photo of Moore and for the early pre-season praise by an east coast SEC/ACC predominated area major publication.
