I find it difficult to accept the definitive conclusions this scouting report makes about how a human will behave in the future, without any qualifying commentary. Everything about Camgate smells, now. But that doesn’t justify being presumptious about his future with such certainty. I wouldn’t bet against this scout report. It just seems over-confident.

While most 20-something year olds can make mistakes, learn and move on, those that play professional sports don’t have such a luxury. Mixed with his past mistakes, which are more like intentional acts of criminality than innocent hijinks, I think he becomes too much of a risk. Physical attributes matter very little when you’re ruining the most important part of any team sport…the chemistry between the players. He doesn’t seem remorseful either, that’s probably the most telling part of the Newton saga.
