Yes, it's a near-dead industry
But the WSJ has actually increased circulation while all of the others have decreased. The market cap for the New York Times is $1.34B which is roughly the value of their real estate holdings in Manhattan. Which means their news organization is worth…nothing.

But their circulation was going up before Murdoch. As a long time subscriber, I have mixed feelings about the recent changes to the weekend edition. I hate fashionistas.
