Titus Young runs the 40-yard dash in the 4.3 - 4.4 range at Boise State's Pro Day, according to unofficial media results. Mark Johnson may or may not have clocked him at a 1.6.
Update: Young's confirmed time was a 4.35.

Is an official time ever released....
Or does each scout run their own watch?

Sometimes the school releases official times
But otherwise, it’s kind of relative to each scout.

Go Titus!
That’s good news. I thought that time at the combine sounded too slow.

who has run the fastest time in the 40? tim brown?
The University of Utah is off to the Pac-12 Conference and will be in the South Division. Hopefully we will get to the first ever Pac-12 Championship Game. Jon " Bones " Jones new light heavyweight champion. Even if Jones got struck flush in the face he would recover and defeat whoever is in front of him. I told everyone the fight would be easy. Almost felt sorry for Rua. Anderson Silva would never fight "Bones". The Cult of Personality is here.

I think it is Chris Johnson
Chris Johson ran a 4.24 in 2008. I’m not sure who has the fastest all time though. Very few people get below a 4.3

Makes for a good excuse
People tend to give BSU a hard time about losing to East Carolina in the Hawaii Bowl in 2008. I just point out to them that Chris Johnson was the running back on that team. If NFL defenses can’t stop the guy, why would anyone expect the Broncos to stop the guy. I didn’t actually watch that game though so I don’t know how much damage he did to BSU. It just makes for a convenient out.

We played a poor game w/o our star receiver against a very good team and still had a chance in that one.

One of the only games
that a Coach Pete team did not fully show up to play in the first half. IMO. Second half was a different story. Also I believe Ian was hurt or was just getting better and did not may very much?

I know Childs didn't play; not sure 'bout Ian. But ECU was a great team, they hit on all cylinders.
I don’t knwo what CJ got but they ran up our (BW), like TCU did in the Poisettta. They were all around a very very fine team. I was impressed with their athleticism and if memory serves our staff had nice things to say about their players as far as getting in the spirit of the pre-game festivities, which some teams get "attitudinal’ over.

"get my blue steel 4.4"-(ref The Leaves "Hey Joe", first nat'l release version and best; all out rocker which
is what the song is; Jimi’s laid back version interesting interpretation though)

Now now Counselor, don't go beserk while the court reporter is here.
They are really 2 different songs, in fact only sharing chord structure. Jimi’s soulful, ballad style interpretation is an artwork, The Leaves are doing a strictly garage band, “I’m-16-and-got-a-(bw)-a-cat-cant’-scratch” junior high sock hop jump shot popper. Like comparing The Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s version of “The Star Spangeld Banner” to Jimi’s. You’ll note I qualified my remark (obviously not well enough for my astute brother in th ebar) by saying the best “all out rocker”, and I still believe the song is that more than a ballad. Jimi’s special gift as an intepretive artist was to extract the ponering intensity out of this rocker, just as he took Dylan’s ballad “All Along the Watchtower” and turned it inside out as a pounder electric firestorm. We’re comparing cheeseburger to Cordon Bleu haute cuisine, but I started it. Hendrix is the greatest guitar player who ever lived..

Don't believe Jimi says "blue steel .44'; in fact, maybe The Leaves don't.
Did I conflate Love’s version with the Leaves? No! I’ll never be able to live this down. (slumps at desk, racking with sobs, a small coterie of office workers, who should be working but never miss an opportunity to goof off given the slightest provocation or justification to do so, gather outside the door)

I'll put Uli Roth and Blackmore up there ahead of Jimi
I am a big Jimi fan and love his style. Very free and fresh.
The point I am trying to make is we all have our own favorites, but there can never be a best, because art doesn’t work that way. Art is always interpetive. Music is art and all three of these great players can’t be judged like a toaster or a vacuum cleaner. You really can’t say Picasso is a better painter than DaVinci etc. for example.
There can never be a “best” guitarist, drummer, cello player. There is only a interpetation of the artist and then perhaps the same interpetation by the listener or consumer or maybe a completely different one.
I like Blackmore, Roth, Morse the most, but doesn’t mean they are better than Hendrix, Page, Beck, Clapton, and so on. They are just the ones I connect to the best.

Well Stated
I personally prefer Phil Keaggy but think that Jimi was amazing. I hate myself for thinking this, but John Mayer is actually a great guitar player too, easily on the same level as Clapton (there are youtube videos of him and Clapton playing together at Crossroads both had amazing solos, Mayer’s was actually a bit better, IMO).

What is this? A center for ants? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read... if they can't even fit inside the building?
I don’t wanna hear your excuses! The building has to be at least… three times bigger than this!
