Baltimore would be unfortunate

as a Steelers fan I would not be able to cheer him on to win… I guess I would hope he does well but the team does not…

Colin Kaepernick a first-rounder?

Never thought I’d see the day. Kellen will be projected as a 5th round or later. Shows what they “value” in the NFL.

I expect Moore to move up

I mean, for one thing, the NFL…for a long long time now…has been absolutely obsessed with measurables. Just look at Jake Locker’s projected status to see how a QB’s measurables can absolutely woo scouts regardless what the tape says.

Kaep probably should project as a project QB with a lot of upside due to his wheels, his height, and his arm strength. I could justify spending a 3rd or 4th rounder on him. He will rise however, due to the small amount of talent at the QB position this year. Safety is another position that will experience that as Rahim Moore is flying up draft boards right now and the Combine hasn’t even occured yet.

Bottom line is there will always be a spot on an NFL team for “workout warriors”, guys whose performance in obstacle course style drills is off the charts but who can’t always translate that to on field success.

The flip side of that is also true though. There will always be a spot on an NFL team for “performers”. guys who have amazing production at the CFB level but not necessarily the physical tools the NFL likes to see. This is where you typically find “tweeners”, “football smart”, and “highly instinctive” guys.

I expect Kellen, after this season is through, to be moving up draft boards. By the time the actual draft occurs, and dependent on how much QB talent there is, I expect Moore to have reached the 3rd rd and maybe the 2nd. That is appropriate given the height issue is a legitimate NFL concern and that guys like Doug Flutie and Drew Brees have overcome that limitation and had Pro Bowl seasons before.
