ESPN expert Brad Edwards kicked things off this morning with his BCS analysis in which he presented a couple different scenarios, depending on who is in the national championship game.
If Alabama gets placed in the Allstate BCS National Championship Game, I can envision the following matchups for the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and the Allstate Sugar Bowl:
Fiesta -- Oklahoma State vs. Stanford
Sugar -- Michigan vs. Boise StateIf Oklahoma State earns the No. 2 spot, however, here's how I see things shaking out:
Fiesta -- Kansas State vs. Michigan
Sugar -- Alabama vs. StanfordOne simplifying factor for both teams is that Virginia Tech almost certainly took itself out of the at-large mix by losing such a lopsided game to Clemson.
Speaking about Virginia Tech ...
Reports say that the Hokies will be in the Chick-fil-a Bowl against Auburn, so it sounds like Brad Edwards is right (unless Danny Sheridan is to be believed).
If the VT rumors are true, than that would leave the final at-large choices to Boise State and K-State. Guess what? No more K-State, maybe.
Keep those fingers crossed.
