This is shaping up like the UNC fans who were convinced that Petersen had already bought a house in Chapel Hill and was going to be announced as the HC on Dec 5 at a rate of 4 million per year.
He turned down UCLA four years ago…I won’t say they have no shot, so I have difficulty believing rumors that he is going there. Stanford is a far better job and he didn’t take that one.
Thanks to Ohio State's president, I will never root for a Big Ten football program again (except in extenuating circumstances that aid my primary rooting interest).

I'm sick of the same old routine from every fan of a mediocre AQ program, every year.
You’re not entitled to our coach simply because you’re AQ and/or a “name brand” school, stop spreading dumb rumors.
That being said, considering that Dan Guerrero apparently gets to pick UCLA’s next head coach again, I’m not too worried about that. He swung and missed on Coach Pete before, and the coaches he HAS picked have been failures. And according to ESPN, it looks like there’s another failure on the way:
Multiple university sources indicate that there is mutual interest between UCLA and former Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable - who was an assistant coach at UCLA under Karl Dorrell and is now with the Seattle Seahawks - and former defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker, who’s now the coach at New Mexico State.
So, they’re between a former Vandull and a current New Mexico State Aggie. Well done, Dan. I feel bad for UCLA fans.

that Wilcox over at Tennessee was telling his players that Petersen was going to UCLA. yeah, it didn’t make much sense to me either. I don’t get A. Why Petersen told Wilcox before his own team. B. Why Wilcox is telling his team. C. Why we are in high school again with all these rumors!

I hate that smug bw for winning WAC coach of the year the same season Coach Pete won a Bear Bryant Coach of the Year award. He had Hal Mumme kissing his feat that season and other coaches (angry after continuous beatdowns by boise state) voted for Jones. That was bull crap.
