2012 Recruit Roundup: October 9, 2011

The Broncos' big win on Friday night might have been the first game that the 2012 commits have missed all year, as the lion's share of them were in action themselves on Friday night.

Join me after the jump for stats galore to see how they're doing in their collective senior seasons.

Jack Fields, RB, Americas High (El Paso, TX)

Fields logged his 3rd straight 200+ yard game of the season on Friday night as his Americas squad took down Socorro 72-16. Fields rushed for 214 yards on just 13 carries and finished the night with 3 rushing TDs as well. Through 6 games, his squad is 5-1 and Jack has rushed for 1,168 yards and 11 TDs.

Shane Rhodes, WR, Klein Collins High School (TX)

Rhodes' Klein Collins squad put a halt to their losing streak on Friday evening, defeating Tomball 42-10. Rhodes, yet again, was instrumental in the win—rushing for 82 yards on just 4 carries and hauling in 5 passes for 127 yards and a score.

Devan Demas, RB, Cypress Creek (TX)

Cypress Creek has had a rough year. Demas' squad is now just 1-4 in league play after a 48-16 loss to Jersey Village on Friday. Demas was really bottled up in the game, contributing just 13 yards on the ground. Hopefully his Cy Creek squad will shake it off, as they're in danger of not making the playoffs for the 1st time since 2007.

Donte Deayon, CB, Summit High School (CA)

Deayon had another solid outing for the SkyHawks on Friday evening as they defeated the previously unabated Murietta Mesa Rams by a score of 49-0. Deayon had an interception in the win and also contributed 55 rushing yards and 2 scores.

Chaz Anderson, CB, Loyola High School (CA)

Anderson was nursing an injury and did not play Friday night against Valencia, but the team won nonetheless—improving to 5-1 on the year. The team has a bye week this week, which should allow Anderson to recuperate before opening league play the following weekend against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

Marcus Rios, CB, Cosumnes Oaks High School (CA)

Cosumnes Oaks improved to 5-2 on the year with a convincing 34-0 win over El Dorado on Friday. Unfortunately, stats were once again not logged (at least anywhere I could find them). Through the 23rd of September, however, Rios had 19 tackles, 2 picks and 5 PBUs on the year.

Christopher Santini, N, Leland High School (CA)

Santini's fantastic season continues, and it's spurred the team the great heights as well, as his Leland squad now sits at 5-0 after squeaking by Pioneer 16-13 on Friday night. Santini was finally bottled up in the run and pass game, only accounting for 18 yards of offense on the night, but he made up for his slow offensive night by lighting things up on defense. Santini had 17 tackles in the game and now has 59 tackles, 3 sacks, and a blocked FG on the year.

Chanceller James, S, Steele Canyon (CA)

James' 3-2 Steele Canyon squad had a bye on Friday and will return to the gridiron next week against Granite Hills.

Nick Patti, QB, Dr. Phillips High School (FL)

Dr. Phillips is still undefeated thanks in large part to Patti's solid play. DPHS defeated Boone on Friday night behind Patti's 249 passing yards and 3 scores. Patti also added 43 yards rushing on 9 attempts and had one interception in the game.

Andrew Pint, LB, Valor Christian (CO)

Valor Christian is now 6-0 on the year after defeating Rock Canyon 58-13 on Friday evening. Stats from the game aren't up online yet, but Pint had 34 tackles through the first 5 games of the year.

Ben Weaver, LB, Klein High School (TX)

Klein is now 3-3 on the year after dropping a tight contest to Spring on Friday night. Last week, I reported that Klein was 4-1 and had beaten up Westfield 86-0...this was an error. Klein destroyed Westfield by that margin last year, and it somehow came up in my news feed as a current score. They were actually defeated by Westfield 48-16 on October 1st and dropped their 3rd straight Friday night. No stats could be found from those contests.

Armand Nance, TE/FB, Dekaney High School (TX)

Dekaney is now 5-1 on the year after dropping their first contest of the season to Klein Oak on Friday night. No stats could be found for Nance—the only score for Dekaney was a 53-yard run in the 4th quarter—hopefully Nance sprung the RB with a nice block...but that's just speculation.

Travis Averill, OL, Servite High School (CA)

Servite had a bye on Friday and will return to action next week against Austin Pettis' alma mater, Orange Lutheran. They are 4-1 on the year.

Steven Baggett, OL, Martin High School (TX)

Bagget's Martin squad is now 5-1 on the year after demolishing Houston 72-7 on Friday night. Since Baggett is on the O-line, stats are hard to come by, but when you win by that much...the O-line must've done quite well.

That's it for this week...if you have any stats, info, or otherwise to report, I would greatly appreciate it. Just send HERE.
