Boise State is 7-0 and more than halfway through their 2011 campaign. So too are their large contingent of verbal commits.
Join me after the jump for stats galore to see how they're doing in their collective senior seasons.
Jack Fields, RB, Americas High (El Paso, TX)
Fields logged his 5th straight 200+ yard game, but was the only offense Americas could generate in a 44-17 loss to Montwood. Fields had 218 yards and 2 TDs on the day and now has 1,772 rushing yards and 18 rushing TDs on the season. His squad is now 6-2 and will try to get back on track against Eastwood next weekend.
Shane Rhodes, WR, Klein Collins High School (TX)
Rhodes' Klein Collins team won their 3rd straight by defeating Klein Forest 39-27 on Friday night, and are now 6-2 on the year as well. Rhodes had 143 all-purpose yards in the win—with 71 receiving yards and a TD and then adding another 72 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. Klein Collins plays Westfield next week.
Devan Demas, RB, Cypress Creek (TX)
Cypress Creek continues to struggle and dropped their 5th game of the year on Friday night to Cypress Woods. Demas helped rally his squad from a large half-time deficit by rushing for a 59-yard TD to open the 3rd quarter, but ultimately the team could close the gap enough for a victory and fell 49-31. Full game stats couldn't be found.
Donte Deayon, CB, Summit High School (CA)
Summit continued their impressive season with another blowout on Friday night. This time, a 51-0 victory over Patriot to move the team to 6-1 on the year. Deayon had 3 receptions for 53 yards and a TD in the win and now has 976 all-purpose yards and 14 TDs on the season. He's also pulled down 3 INTs on the year and blocked one punt.
Chaz Anderson, CB, Loyola High School (CA)
Anderson's Loyola squad defeated Notre Dame 27-14 on Friday night to move to 6-1 on the year. It's not clear whether Anderson played in the game, as he didn't show up on the box score, and hadn't played in the game before the bye week because he was battling an injury. Hopefully, he'll be ready to go next weekend against Bishop Amat.
Marcus Rios, CB, Cosumnes Oaks High School (CA)
Rios' commitment wavered last week and although he's still listed as "high" on the Broncos, is no longer a solid verbal at the very least. We wish him luck the rest of his season and on his college choice—should he choose to firm up his commitment again, I'll gladly start posting his weekly highlights again. As it now stands, we'll be dropping him from the weekly roundup.
Christopher Santini, N, Leland High School (CA)
Leland High is still undefeated this season after beating Santa Teresa 28-14 yesterday. Unfortunately, they had to play the game without their star offensive and defensive player, Santini, who was nursing injuries from a hit-and-run accident on his bicycle. Santini suffered a concussion, a broken nose, multiple broken bones in his cheek and a slightly separated shoulder in the accident. Luckily, the injuries weren't worse, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Chanceller James, S, Steele Canyon (CA)
Steele Canyon improved to 5-2 on the year with a win against Valhalla on Friday. No further stats or highlights could be found on the game.
Nick Patti, QB, Dr. Phillips High School (FL)
Well, Dr. Phillips' season is no longer perfect after Patti and his Panther squad were handed a defeat last weekend— but their playoff, and league title hopes are still alive and well after they took care of business on Friday night. Patti led his DPHS team to a 38-6 victory over Cypress Creek on Friday night and contributed 309 total yards in the win. Patti opened the scoring with a 43-yard run in the first quarter and then added TD passes in the 3rd and 4th quarter to finish with 3 on the night. Dr. Phillips is now 7-1 on the year and will play Evans next Friday.
Andrew Pint, LB, Valor Christian (CO)
Valor Christian is now 8-0 on the year, but the win came via forfeit by Littleton. Obviously, Pint, and the rest of his team produced no stats in the game.
Ben Weaver, LB, Klein High School (TX)
Klein lost big to Dekaney on Friday night by a score of 42-10 and are now 3-5 on the year. Stats from the game weren't found.
Armand Nance, TE/FB, Dekaney High School (TX)
As I just mentioned, Dekaney came out on the winning end against Ben Weaver's Klein squad and are now 7-1 on the season. Again, stats were not made available.
Travis Averill, OL, Servite High School (CA)
Servite is 6-1 on the season after defeating JSerra Catholic 42-14 on Friday night.
Steven Baggett, OL, Martin High School (TX)
Martin High is now 7-1 on the year after defeating Lamar 41-20 on Friday night. Martin blew the game wide open in the 4th quarter by outscoring Lamar 22-6.
That's it for this week...if you have any stats, info, or otherwise to report, I would greatly appreciate it. Just send HERE.
