Boise State is now midway through their 2011 campaign and so too are their large contingent of verbal commits.
Join me after the jump for stats galore to see how they're doing in their collective senior seasons.
Jack Fields, RB, Americas High (El Paso, TX)
It's officially time to start getting excited about Fields. On Friday night, Fields rushed for 386 yards and 5 TDs against Bel Air, in a game that Americas ended up winning 56-7. Fields has now topped 200+ yards in 4 straight contests, averaging 297 yards/game over that span. Fields has 1,554 yards rushing through 7 games and 17 total TDs (16 rushing, 1 receiving). One begins to wonder what Fields' rushing stats might look like so far if he hadn't virtually sat out an entire game in week 2. Americas is 6-1 on the year.
Shane Rhodes, WR, Klein Collins High School (TX)
Rhodes' Klein Collins team won for their second straight by defeating Klein 29-19 on Friday evening. The matchup pitted Rhodes against fellow 2012 commit Ben Weaver, who plays for Klein. No stats were available from the contest. Klein Collins is 5-2 on the year.
Devan Demas, RB, Cypress Creek (TX)
Demas did not play in Cypress Creek's 24-14 win over Cypress Lakes. Hopefully he'll be back in action next week when his squad takes on Cypress Woods. The team is 3-4 on the year.
Donte Deayon, CB, Summit High School (CA)
Deayon continues to do it all for the 4-1 SkyHawks as he registered 3 TDs and 167 receiving yards (on just 4 catches!) Friday night and his Summit squad defeated Norte Vista 48-12. Defensive stats from the game have not yet been posted.
Chaz Anderson, CB, Loyola High School (CA)
Anderson's 5-1 Loyola squad had a bye week this weekend, and hopefully Anderson used the time off to recuperate from an injury that had him sit out last week's game against Valencia.
Marcus Rios, CB, Cosumnes Oaks High School (CA)
Cosumnes Oaks improved to 6-2 on the year with a 34-21 win over Vista del Lago on Friday night. Defensive stats weren't recorded for the game. Prior to Friday's contest, Rios had 20 tackles on the year, with 2 INTs and 6 PBUs. Rios was offered by Nebraska over the weekend but remains a solid verbal to the Broncos and now looks like a "soft" verbal according to Scout.com and Rivals.com.
Christopher Santini, N, Leland High School (CA)
Santini did it all (again) for his 6-0 Leland squad on Friday as they easily defeated Willow Glen 51-14. Santini rushed for 153 yards and 2 TDs in the contest and made 9 stops on defense. For the year, Santini has 598 rushing yards and 11 TDs as well as 115 yards and 2 TDs receiving and 331 return yards on special teams. Defensively, Santini has 68 tackles and 3 sacks on the year.
Chanceller James, S, Steele Canyon (CA)
Steele Canyon improved to 4-2 on the year with a win against Granite Hills on Friday. No stats could be found for James either in the box score or on his MaxPreps page. Sorry.
Nick Patti, QB, Dr. Phillips High School (FL)
#1 ranked Dr. Phillips saw their perfect season end on Friday night as they were upset on the road by Edgewater 38-19. The loss was the first regular season defeat that the Panthers had suffered in 3 years. Patti threw 2 second half picks that hampered DP's chance for a comeback. The squad is now 6-1 on the year and will play Cypress Creek (FL) next weekend.
Andrew Pint, LB, Valor Christian (CO)
Pint's VC squad is now 7-0 on the year after a dominant 55-9 beating of Castle View on Friday night. Pint had just 3 tackles in the game, but that pushed his season total to 40. They play Littleton next week.
Ben Weaver, LB, Klein High School (TX)
Weaver's Klein team moved below .500 for the year after falling to Klein Collins on Friday. The BearKats are 3-4 so far this season. Stats have been hard to come by for Weaver. Again, apologies on that one.
Armand Nance, TE/FB, Dekaney High School (TX)
Dekaney is now 6-1 on the year after sneaking by Tomball on Friday 42-39. No stats for Nance, who is primarily a blocking TE/FB, could be found as of yet. I'll keep digging.
Travis Averill, OL, Servite High School (CA)
Servite is 5-1 now on the year after defeating Orange Lutheran 21-8 on Friday.
Steven Baggett, OL, Martin High School (TX)
Baggett's Warriors improved to 6-1 on the season after defeating North Crowley 36-19 on Friday night.
That's it for this week...if you have any stats, info, or otherwise to report, I would greatly appreciate it. Just send HERE.
