Oregon State - Boise State tickets: You want some? Good luck!

If you don't have your tickets to the Boise State vs Oregon State game by now, chances are that you are out of luck or must pony up the dough. A quick browse of Craigslist can attest to that!

So, what does one do if you want to see the game in person? Let me see if I can help!

The Intern is general manager of TixxFixx, Idaho's largest destination for all things rec - show tickets, concert tickets, sports tickets, you name it. Yes, there are Oregon State - Boise State tickets there, but you're getting ahead of yourself. Keep reading.

Why aren't there more tickets out there?

If you have been looking for tickets, you may or may not have noticed that the number of tickets that are being sold online are very few. The numbers kicked up quite a bit today, but those numbers are decieving due to the fact that student tickets became available Monday morning. The funny thing about that is, the only people who can buy those tickets are other poor struggling college students! Good luck getting $150 for that student ticket! Guest tickets won't even be available until Wednesday.

So why are there so few tickets for sale? The simple answer ... people want to go to the game. They would rather be there than make a few bucks by selling their tickets. Who could blame them? This will be probably the most exciting game atmosphere since the Oregon game last year. Nobody wants to miss out on that.

Student Tickets

The process has changed for getting your student ticket and buying your guest ticket. To avoid the long lines, overnight camping, and overall headaches, Boise State has moved to online ticket ordering. Students must log into a special website and enter their student ID number and reserve their one free student ticket. Then they print out an order confirmation and take it to one of three student ticket pick up locations around campus. They will then need to wait for two days before they can purchase their one guest ticket. Then go through the same process once again to actually get it.

There are rumors, you may have seen, on Craigslist that in order to enter the stadium with a guest ticket you must accompany an ID-card-holding student with their student ticket. This is a fabrication someone is spreading in an attempt to drive down the marketability of the guest ticket. Rest assured, if you are one of the lucky few to get your hands on a guest ticket, you will get into the game! (UPDATE: There are no guest tickets available)

Hook me up, Intern!

Let me just say this, I will do my best. At Tixx Fixx, I have had tons of pre-orders for this game and the only way to fill them was to buy season tickets. That being the case, we only got what we needed to fill just those orders for this game. We will have a good supply of tickets for the rest of the games, so visit our site for tickets to upcoming games.

Fortunately, being in the ticket biz, I have great connections. We are in the process of obtaining tickets for the Oregon State game that will, hopefully, be available near the end of the week and most likely Saturday. That being the case, we will more than likely be selling them down at the stadium ... err, near the stadium.

If we get any tickets prior to Saturday, I will make sure to post them on the Tixx Fixx website. There are tickets for sale at that link now, but those belong to other national ticket outlets, we give them space on our site for a small fee. You will know when the tickets are ours by a little ticket icon that will appear to the left side of the ticket info.

I want to go to the game, but can't find reasonably priced tickets, what do I do?

  • Shoot me an email at tyler@tixxfixx.com with your name, phone number, and budget, and I'll see what I can do.
  • Pay the insane prices to the people on Tixx Fixx, Stubhub or Craigslist.
  • Buy them from a scalper before the game (which is legal in Idaho, btw).
  • Watch the game at home and comment on OBNUG.

Whichever way you choose, make sure you enjoy the thrilling ride this game will provide! Go Broncos!
