I'm confused ...
Last year’s performance against Miami is irrelevant to the season opener on Labor Day. You can’t compare an A++ game last year with one from this year because the personnel is completely different. VT lost over half of its defensive starters from last fall.
It may be true that Boise State can’t beat 2010 VT when the 2010 Hokies bring their A++ game, but defending that stance with a result from any year except 2010 is a fallacy.

I'm not surprised.
Phil Steele makes his living on choosing the unpredictable. And that should be expected. It would be crazy to think Boise could only lose 1 game in 3 seasons.. absolutely unfathomable.
