Down goes Missouri. Down goes Michigan State. And up goes Auburn in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll.
Boise State came in at No. 3 in the Coaches Poll this week as Auburn jumped the Broncos. And in even worse news, Boise State got jumped by TCU in the BCS standings. Did the Tuesday night time slot make the difference? Are polls and rankings just always out to get BSU no matter what? Yes and yes.
What are your thoughts on this week's poll? Get the complete rankings and more after the jump.
It's Oregon, Auburn, Boise State, TCU, and everyone else in the Coaches Poll
Less than 100 points separate the No. 2 through No. 4 teams in this week's polls, meaning all of this could change next week when Auburn plays Chattanooga (Chattanooga!), Boise State hosts Hawaii, and TCU visits Utah.
- Oregon (1,464 points)
- Auburn (1,384)
- Boise State (1,361)
- TCU (1,292)
Then again, Alabama could be No. 2 next week considering how inane some of this poll stuff is.
Hawaii just misses out on Top 25 ranking
The Warriors are No. 26 in both the AP poll and the Coaches poll, heading into the Boise State game. Bummer, since I had already written a rough draft of a "Look at how many ranked teams Boise State has played this season!" comment for the ESPN messageboards. Nuts.
TCU jumps Boise State in BCS standings
BAD WORDS to that.
Also, haters gonna hate. I prefer to remain cautiously cynical about the whole thing until at least mid-November (if I live that long).
