Missouri pulled off the latest upset of this college football season with its win over Oklahoma. As you can see from the picture above, the students got pretty excited and rushed the field. I believe I even saw a piece of the goal post leaving the stadium.
This got me thinking about the whole subject of rushing the field and Boise State. Have fans ever rushed the field at Boise State? Will we ever get the chance? Usually rushing the field is reserved for an upset over a high profile team. Unfortunately none of those games for Boise State happen on The Blue. The Virginia Tech game could have qualified this year due to its emotional ending. However, Boise State was the higher ranked team going in and a slight favorite the majority of the prior week. The only game that I could think about that would have been a legitimate rushing the field moment could be the 2001 game against No. 8 Fresno State. But that game was played in Fresno.
However, if that game had been in Boise, do you think fans would have rushed the field? Is there any team in the nation that, if they were to come to The Blue, warrants rushing the field if Boise State wins? Are we above that? I'd like to be a part of one.

Week 9 Games
Another week without a Boise State game, which is probably good because I sooo would have jumped on that 38-point spread last night.
#1 Oregon at #24 USC (+6.5)
Pick: USC
I'm picking USC to win here, partly because Oregon can win by a TD and still have it be a close game.
#3 Auburn at Mississippi (+6.5)
Pick: Auburn
I'd love to pick Nutt here for the upset, but Cam Newton is really good and Masoli is really bad.
#5 Michigan St. at #18 Iowa (-6.5)
Pick: Iowa
Michigan State's dream season has to come to an end this week. Although, maybe that win over Northwestern was destiny or something.
#7 Missouri at #14 Nebraska (-7.5)
Pick: Nebraska
Missouri showed that they are for real, but I think this could easily be a letdown game for them this week.
#8 Utah at Air Force (+6.5)
Pick: Utah
I would pick Air Force if they hadn't lost to San Diego State and had stayed closer to TCU.
San Jose St. at New Mexico St. (+3.5)
Pick: New Mexico State
What a terrible game. I'm dumbfounded here.
Utah St. at Nevada (-26.5)
Pick: Nevada
Nevada had better roll this week after what Hawaii was able to do against Utah State.
Idaho at Hawaii (-13.5)
Pick: Hawaii
Hawaii looks very solid. Prepare to hear more stories in the coming weeks about how Moniz used to deliver pizzas.
