NUGie Best Decision
Presented by NUGie award winner Robb Akey:
I enjoy making decisions. Like punting. And not recruiting within my own state. Even more, I don't let things like facts or common sense get in the way of my decision-making. I just throw caution to the wind, rub my mustache, and call it like I see it. Does it work? I think my record speaks for itself.
Here are the nominees for NUGie Best Decision:
- Coach Pete picking Kellen Moore over Bush Hamdan. Changed the season.
- Defensive adjustment to a three-safety alignment. Changed the perception of Boise State football.
- Kyle Brotzman's rollout rugby punts. Changed field position in a big way.
- Not playing Ball State in the Humanitarian Bowl. Changed H-Bowl ticket sales, among others.
And the NUGie Best Decision award goes to ...
Congratulations to Coach Pete. His decision was truly a season-changer, and he deserves all the credit in the world for going through with a tough choice. And with no quarterback controversy this offseason, Bronco fans can move onto the much-anticipated running back controversy. Jarvis Hodge, anyone?
