Winston Venable, come on down! BSU gets JC transfer

Boise State received a verbal commitment from S Winston Venable of Glendale Community College (Arizona), who should be terrorizing WAC offenses in no time.

The 6'1", 210-pound Venable runs a 4.5 40-yard dash, was named his conference's defensive player of the year, and is considered to be one of the hidden gems of the JC recruiting scene. Plus, Venable (#41) is about to kill this guy:

Rumor has it that Venable might fit in well replacing Ellis Powers at the safety/linebacker position. With Powers gone after this season, Venable will at least help provide depth at the position along with Jason Robinson and redshirt freshman Tyler Jackson.

Plus, his dad played for the Expos. So Boise State's baseball club has to be stoked.
