Tharp joins Boise Burn, glad Hawaii's not on schedule

Former Boise State quarterback Taylor Tharp has been assigned to the Boise Burn. Jared Zabransky, it appears, could not get Friday nights off at P.F. Chang's.

Tharp will join former Bronco teammate Alex Guerrero as new members of the Burn when the Boise af2 franchise kicks off the season next spring. Guerrero appeared for the Burn in the final game of last season, recovering a fumble and catching a pass.

"Both Alex and Taylor are well-known in the Boise community, and I appreciate that they want to be part of the Burn," said first-year Burn Head Coach Brent Winter.

If that's all it takes to play on the Burn, then Joe Bozikovich's career options just got a whole lot more diverse.

Tharp will try to do what former Bronco quarterbacks B.J. Rhode and Bart Hendricks couldn't - get us to come to a Burn game. Oh, and make the playoffs.
