Morning paper: Boise State football links 11/7

Utah has more lives than a reincarnated cat. Seriously? An 80-yard drive to win the game when you hadn't driven anywhere all game long? We will concede the fact that if Utah wins its remaining two games (San Diego State, BYU), they deserve to be in a BCS game, but at the same time, we know for a fact that the Broncos would beat them soundly if the two teams played. Shouldn't that count for something?

That will be our last Utah comment of the day because we don't really want to talk about it anymore and there is plenty of other stuff to get to. We have a game prediction, a rather big OBNUG announcement, and an update on the tragically quotable Brent Guy. Stay tuned.

Nevada vs. Fresno State tonight in battle of unmet expectations [Press-Tribune]
In other words, just another day at the office for Fresno QB Tom Brandstater.

Sorry, local Marriott; Broncos do not stay in hotels prior to home games [Statesman]
They are the only team in the WAC to do so. There's no telling what kind of shenanigans you could get into in places like Ruston, Louisiana.

Dustin Lapray takes on the Bronco rushing game [Times-News]
It's a positive take ... we think. He used a bunch of big words, so we're not terribly certain.

Yes, Nevada's defense is as bad as you think [PWtW]
It might even be worse than you think, if you thought the Wolf Pack should win when it scores 40 points.

Apparently, Brian Murphy was at the Utah game [Murph's Turf]
Glad to see the Statesman is allocating its budget appropriately.

BNN podcast features former Bronco, current Burner Alex Guerrero [BNN]
Spanish-language version of the podcast available soon.

The Broncos are smart and good [BroncoSports.com]
Well, at least Richie Brockel, Dallas Dobbs, and Vinny Perretta are.
