CB Brandon Lewis becomes 3rd verbal commit of '14 class

I'm a little late to this one (HT: Tha Hammer), but Pleasant Grove (CA) CB Brandon Lewis became the 3rd verbal commit of the Broncos' 2014 class today—and we're barely into April! The talented 5'10" 170 lb. DB is rated a 3-star by Scout.com and the #47 CB in the country despite missing his junior season to injury. Lewis had a standing offer from Boise State and visited The Blue during BSU's junior day last month. His other offer was from Air Force, but it's hard to imagine that his offer list wouldn't have been much larger had his injury-plagued junior season not scared off some recruiters. Lewis was a teammate of 2013 DT commit Nick Terry and appears to be 100% committed to the Broncos—for the long haul. Check out his highlights and constantly remind yourselves that it's his SOPHOMORE film. Nice.

Broncos land 2nd 2014 commit

It's barely April, but the Broncos just gained their second verbal commit of the 2014 class. QB Jalen Greene (6'3" 200 lbs) from Serra HS in California decided to pull the trigger 10 days after the Broncos extended his first and so far only offer. Greene is currently rated a 3-star by Scout.com and the #34 QB prospect in next years class. Greene has already stated that he plans to graduate early to enroll in January following the Nick Patti blueprint. Greene led his squad to a state championship last year.

BIG running back commits to Hawaii

I posted this elsewhere but it's somewhat hidden, but apparently, this guy has committed to Hawaii. Hard to say if he stays as an RB, but the kid is big and can rumble. Not like the D has been very good at stopping the run game lately, this might make it harder. Of course, that is if he stays committed to Hawaii and an RB. Hawaii had an RB a few years ago, think his last name was Aluaeu, or something like that, that the D had a hard time stopping...

Awesome Highlights from 2012 Season

A user by the name of feraci99 posted a number of great videos to Youtube re-capping the 2012 season. This video is of Jay Ajayi. He also has ones of Shane Williams-Rhodes, Sam Ukawachu, and Joe Southwick. Great videos!

Jake Roh has verbally committed to the Broncos! The 6'3" 210 lb TE/OLB picked the Broncos over the Iowa Hawkeyes. Roh is a talented LB and WR, so no official word on which position he was recruited for, but I have a hunch he might stay on the offensive side of the line. The Chaparral (AZ) athlete had offers from Arizona, Duke, Iowa, Nevada, Oregon State, SDSU and Washington State

Now that's a fruitful recruiting weekend. All 3 weekend visitors to The Blue appear to have committed to the program...Derrick Thomas, Cleshawn Page, and now ATH Thomas Sperbeck. The talented QB/S appears to have committed to the Broncos, giving them a recruiting hat trick over the weekend. As impressive as Sperbeck's QB highlights are, don't expect him to be under center for the Broncos any time soon...it looks like he was recruited as a safety. The 6'1" 175 pounder out of Jesuit High School (Carmichael, CA) had offers from Army, Colorado State, and SJSU. The news has not been made official yet, but several tweets appear to confirm the news...and they aren't far-fetched, Sperbeck visited over the weekend and received an offer during his stay. Sperbeck passed for 1,049 yards and 13 TDs this season and rushed for 932 yards and 9 TDs. On defense, where we should see him on The Blue, he made 69 tackles, 1 sack, 2 PBUs and a fumble recovery. Update: Nnnnow it's official.

Well, now we no longer have to watch the game. Great win, Broncos! This video is actually a pretty accurate representation of the types of plays we'll see .. except for Southwick running for it twice in a game.
