BSU Running Backs - Raising the bar
Interview with Jack Austin: Just wanted to share this, shows what we are getting as a person from Jack, absolutely OKG
Jake Roh has verbally committed to the Broncos! The 6'3" 210 lb TE/OLB picked the Broncos over the Iowa Hawkeyes. Roh is a talented LB and WR, so no official word on which position he was recruited for, but I have a hunch he might stay on the offensive side of the line. The Chaparral (AZ) athlete had offers from Arizona, Duke, Iowa, Nevada, Oregon State, SDSU and Washington State
Now that's a fruitful recruiting weekend. All 3 weekend visitors to The Blue appear to have committed to the program...Derrick Thomas, Cleshawn Page, and now ATH Thomas Sperbeck. The talented QB/S appears to have committed to the Broncos, giving them a recruiting hat trick over the weekend. As impressive as Sperbeck's QB highlights are, don't expect him to be under center for the Broncos any time soon...it looks like he was recruited as a safety. The 6'1" 175 pounder out of Jesuit High School (Carmichael, CA) had offers from Army, Colorado State, and SJSU. The news has not been made official yet, but several tweets appear to confirm the news...and they aren't far-fetched, Sperbeck visited over the weekend and received an offer during his stay. Sperbeck passed for 1,049 yards and 13 TDs this season and rushed for 932 yards and 9 TDs. On defense, where we should see him on The Blue, he made 69 tackles, 1 sack, 2 PBUs and a fumble recovery. Update: Nnnnow it's official.
Well, now we no longer have to watch the game. Great win, Broncos! This video is actually a pretty accurate representation of the types of plays we'll see .. except for Southwick running for it twice in a game. The Broncos impressive 2013 recruiting class just got...impressive-er with the addition of 6'3" 200 lb. WR Kendal Keys from Helix HS (San Diego, CA). Keys was originally slated to visit next weekend, but joined the dozen other visitors last weekend and committed on Monday. The 3-star WR has a great combination of size, speed and hands and was offered scholarships from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State, and SDSU.
15 Minute Highlight video: #20 BSU beats Nevada Sorry its late again, with school and work, have little time.
Graduation taketh away, but LOI day giveth back. The Broncos soon-to-be-depleted D-line has gotten a big boost for 2013 with the addition of Justin Taimatuia and Nick Terry...now add another BIG get with the verbal commitment of DE Kamalei Correa of St. Louis High School in Hawaii. Correa is considered one of the top recruits on the island this year and had offers from most of the Pac-12, but Correa recently narrowed his choices down to Utah and Boise State and pulled the trigger on Thanksgiving day to join the Broncos next season. Correa has long been coveted by his hometown Warriors and Greg McMackin extended an offer to the talented D-lineman when he was just 15. Kamalei's brother, Haku, is a standout D-lineman on the current Warrior squad and Kamalei's mother has even worked for the UH athletic department for over 20 years. Clearly, the lure of the mainland (and a winning program) was too much for Kamalei. Correa is expected by most to move inside to DT, which would give the Broncos 3 great DT recruits in this recruiting cycle. The 6'3" 240 lb. Correa had offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Oregon State, San Diego State, Utah, Washington State, and Wyoming
