Let's have some fun projecting depth charts that are impossible to predict. Do you think Blakley will play as a true freshman? He is one of two four-star recruits in the 2014 class (safety Dylan Sumner-Gardner is the other), and he enters at a position that could see significant overhaul this coming season - overhaul as in hauling it out of basement storage and putting it on the front lawn for all to see. If the tight end position expands into a thing this year, the Broncos have lots of eager hands willing to take a turn. Blakley could be one of those hands, and based on the zero I know about him or how he'll fit once he arrives on campus, I'm going to say, "Chase Blakley for Mountain West Player of the Year!"

Scouting report
Via ESPN:
Look have good-sized hands on film and to be a confident pass catcher who can consistently catch the ball away from his frame. Can extend and snag passes thrown above his head and displays good ability to go up and attack the ball. Shows good body control to adjust well to throws off target and willingness to take a hit to make a catch.

Chance that Chris Petersen flips him to UW
5 percent. Blakley would have to be one intense waffler to go UW-to-Boise-back-to-UW. Petersen took a different tight end from Boise State's original recruiting class, so it's likely Washington has all the tight ends it needs.
