Camp season is generally when Boise State’s recruiting starts to take off and this year is no different as the Broncos landed their second 2018 verbal of the day (well, technically Brandon Hawkins committed last night, y’know...intents and purposes) in Corner Canyon High (Draper, UT) 3-star QB Zachary Wilson. Wilson, a 6’3” 200 lb. prospect, was just offered by the Broncos yesterday, but it appears it was the offer he was waiting for as he wasted no time mulling it over.

Wilson passed for 2,708 yards and 20 TDs last season while only tossing 5 INTs, all the more impressive was that he did so while completing better than 67% of his passes. Oh, and he scrambled/rushed for over 500 yards as well. When the Broncos offered the junior signal-caller last night, it represented his 8th overall, and Boise State joined Fresno State, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Rice, Utah State, and Weber State in the Wilson sweepstakes. I’d say it paid off.
Wilson is the 3rd known commit of Boise State’s 2018 class, and joins LB Brandon Hawkins, and Safety Phillip Mills in Blue and Orange. I don’t think I need to tell you that verbal commitments are non-binding until signing day...but remember that there’s an early signing period in December this year, so we only have to hang on like grim death for 6 months instead of 8!
