Listed at 6' and 203lbs out of Prosper, TX, Mahone had 10 offers, including SMU and Boise State, which were his top two choices. Earlier this month, he was set to announce, but delayed his decision. Ultimately though, the Broncos prevailed.
What you will notice from his film is a running back with an upright running style that is extremely difficult to bring down, especially with arm tackles. Remind you of anyone? Specifically, a recently graduated running back competing for a starting job for the Miami Dolphins? Let that sink in. It's not often you find a 6' 200+lbs running back that can run a 4.55 40, but Mahone does just that. Expect a stellar senior season and many more offers to roll in for this kid. The challenge now is to hold on to him.
