Husky blog picks UW to finish last in Pac 12 North

Our friends at the UW Dawg Pound are hotly debating prospects for the Huskies' 2015 season. One of their managers wrote a piece the other day, predicting that the Huskies will finish last in the North Division--behind even their hated rival, Washington State--in Chris Petersen's second year as head coach. Near the end of the post, Chris Landon writes:

In short, this is a team that has literally nothing to hang its hat on going into 2015. . . It's going to be a mess. A big mess and one that I expect will leave UW last in the Pac 12 North and home for the holidays in 2015.

There is a fair amount of discussion in the comments about the opener with Boise State. Most seem to think it will be a tough game--some think the Huskies will lose, others point out that there's no way Washington won't win because the Broncos will have to replace QB, RB, and kicker. One blogger said that the game will be "awkward," and a few even wish that it could be canceled.

And, if this comment won't get you riled up . . .

The popular answer as to why Oklahoma lost to Boise State in that famous Fiesta Bowl had everything to do with Oklahoma not thrilled about it’s [sic] opponent.

At any rate, I found it to be an interesting read, on the parts of both Landon and his readers, and it will give you an idea of how the fans assess their strengths and weaknesses--and their support of Petersen--heading into this season and the next. Accompanying this post is a companion piece in which the author assigns grades to the coaching staff for 2014--most of whom came from Boise State. (Spoiler alert--our former head coach gets a "D.")
