A Cure for Post-Game Loss?

For those that get the TSN channel (Canadian Sports) or have access to ESPN3, you can watch some former Broncos do their thing in the CFL. The Ottawa RedBlacks take on the Montreal Alouettes. Both teams are at the bottom of the standings so it may not be the highest quality game but entertaining none the less.

So who should you be on the lookout for?

Ottawa

  • 28 - DJ Harper (RB) - he doesn't get many opportunities to play but he does play as the 2nd guy on kickoffs.
  • 24 - Jerrell Gavins (DB) - he has done well in his first year in the CFL. He typically covers the slot receivers.
  • 25 - Brandyn Thompson (DB) - He has had an up and down season but gets lots of playing time.
  • 63 - Jon Gott (C) - veteran center. Has an awesome beard.

Montreal

  • 31 - Winston Venable (LB) - he is the number 2 SAM LB so he comes in to spell the starter
  • Offensive Coordinator is Ryan Dinwiddie (QB coach is Jeff Garcia)

Apparently DJ and Brandyn were injured in the last game so they won't be playing but you can still root for Jerrell and Winston.

Here is a preview of the game: VIDEO - *ignore the comment about Ottawa folding in the 4th quarter and giving up 21 points last week :)
