With no NCAA or NIT bid extended, Boise State basketball calls it a season

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

It was a "close but no cigar" season for one of the most-hyped basketball teams in Boise State history, but ultimately, close losses during the regular season and in the tourney doomed the Broncos. However, it was the third 20+ win season for the Broncos in 4 years under coach Leon Rice and the future looks bright with some big recruiting wins of late. Remember, arguably Boise State's two best players (Derrick Marks and Anthony Drmic) will return for one more season, so all we need now is a cybernetic rebounding machine to replace Ryan Watkins. Jesse will be along in the morning to put a nice little bow on the successful-yet-disappointing season. In the meantime, head over to twitter and thank these guys for the hard work and memories.
