Colorado State Wants The Big Twelve, and Boise State Wants The Pac-12???

The Big Twelve realized this week-end, how a ten team conference sucks with the 12 team name moniker. It just didn’t pack it when it comes to the top 4 in the college Football Championship Play-off. The best the Big 12 can hope for is its current configuration as a New Year’s six slot, but not a championship possibility. Since the main contenders represent more league teams having a internal play-off system, leading them to a conference championship game. This is what will feed into the College Play-off system in the future. Colorado State is begging for a Big 12 invite because the Big 12 desperately needs two more teams to live up to its title of 12, and then it needs an additional two teams with provonance, making a 14 team league. They, (Big 12) will go for 4 more teams, for a 14 team two division league. This type of move would put pressure on the Pac 12 to go for two more teams reaching its mythical 14 team league with two divisions and a play-off. That is the new football standard. 14 teams 2 division and a league championship game much like the SEC model. It would push the P5 to 70 teams. Making a super majority representing college football at the Division 1 level. There are only six slots remaining and who gets one? There is a Mid-Western Land Grab before the Pac 12 can even find gold in the Rocky Mountains. Let the Cat fight start!

There are six team openings for these two P5 conferences not currently up to that "SEC standard". The Pac 12 (needs 2) and the Big 12 (needs 4 since they only have 10). My own personal preference is Boise plays for the PAC 14 within its two divisions. BYU became arrogant over TV deals, and bolted independent in a greedy effort to write its own ticket, compliant in its own culture.

The BSU campus culture matches best with the PAC 12. Boise is currently going to the Fiesta Bowl and going against the Pac 12's second best team. Something other Pac-12 California schools can’t do during this bowl season. The Washington Husky are going to Tempe, AZ to play in its bowl game. The Pac 12 is secretly noting what the Big 10 is up to, and it knows it must keep up with the Jones', if they are to survive in the "money pit" of football, and basketball. However, if Colorado State is asked in by the Big 12, so goes the conference realignment saga as noted in by The Coloradan press.

Stephens: Window open for Colorado State to join Big 12

Shock wave has hit the PAC 12 back room, as it has to protect its turf, because the Big 12 is not done yet. It needs 3 more teams after Colorado State. Boise State, BYU and another (somewhere) is ripe for picking. However, the conference harvesting is not at full function, until after the bowl games. Boise still needs a presentation on its resume. The football bullet point is a no brainer. The basketball card is Pac 12 able. Boise even has its sperate track and field venue. There are other sports in Boise State's portfolio that require a better presentation for the Pac 12. But don’t dilly dally Pac 12. The Big 12 is coming a hunting for schools as mentioned in the article. Boise almost made a fatal mistake of even considering going east before, as I was reminded of the John Candy box office flop of "Wagons East". Horace Greeley is secretly holding his grave breath as Boise ponders going west, or at least the Rocky Mountain West where it belongs. The Pac 12 hand is being force by it needing and making the SEC league standards with two seven team divisions and a champioship game. Where if, the PAC 12, is the last remaining holding-out for that 14 team format, they will end up where the Big 12 finds itself now. Out of the national championship talks during any tie breaker selections. They don’t pack it with twelve teams, but they would with 14 teams.
