It's football time! the 2013 football season has kicked off tonight, and this is where we can comment on which games we're watching, and what we're seeing in the games. Some highlights:
UNLV at Minnesota - Hopefully, UNLV can at least keep it close.
Utah State at Utah - One of many MWC - PAC 12 contests on the slate this weekend, and this is one of the more winnable ones for the MWC.
Ole Miss at Vanderbilt - A preview of our season opening foe next season.
Sacramento State at San Jose State - Well, it's an MWC game, at least.
Rutgers at Fresno State - A chance to see how good Fresno State is against
a Big East an American Conference team.
USC at Hawaii - Another MWC-PAC 12 matchup, but the MWC doesn't have much of a chance in this one.
I don't really see much interesting on the docket for Friday.
Colgate at Air Force - Air Force has a warmup game before their MWC schedule begins.
BYU at Virginia - BYU has a chance to knock off a BCS team, even if it's a bad one.
Texas State at Southern Miss - One of the few easy non-conference games for Southern Miss. They also play at Nebraska, at Arkansas and at Boise State.
Georgia at Clemson - Probably the premier matchup of the weekend, a matchup of two top 10 teams.
New Mexico State at Texas - Well, maybe NMSU can keep it close.
Wyoming at Nebraska - Well, maybe Wyoming can keep it close.
Eastern Illinois at San Diego State - Decent non-conference opponent, if not a big school.
UTSA at New Mexico - New Mexico may find wins hard to come by in the MWC, so they need to pick them up where they can.
LSU vs. TCU - Another matchup of ranked teams.
Nevada at UCLA - Nevada kicks off its post-Ault era.
(I left off a certain game because we'll undoubtedly have a gamethread for it.)
Colorado vs. Colorado State - Another MWC - PAC 12 matchup that the MWC has a good chance to win.
