Justin Wilcox has been sneaking into the Boise State facilities and stealing the offense's gameplans...
Ha ha, can you imagine that?
Ok, on a serious note, one thing that just hit me the other day that I forgot about:
Justin Wilcox is Washington's Defensive Coordinator!
I'm just surprised that in everything I've been reading for, oh, the last 8 months, not much has really mentioned much of anything about this one possible advantage (?) perhaps.
But, that's what I wanted to get feedback on from all of you. How much of an impact do you think it will have with our former DC on their sideline?
I know the coaches have streamlined the playbook and the players we have today are not the same ones that we had when Wilcox was here. And I know some will say, "Well, it didn't help them last game in the Vegas Bowl, because we still beat them." But, this time around he has 8 months to prepare, and if there's something we all know is that our Boise State Football coaches (present and past) are experts at preparing and coming up with the right scheme, especially given that large amount of time.
My gut feeling tells me that it's gotta be worth some type of advantage or at least improvement in their defensive approach and scheme, but I'm just not sure how much.
That's where I defer to you fellow Bronco obsessivites - What do you think? Is this something I should stress over for the next 8 days (yes, there's only 8 days left until we all get to watch our beloved Broncos play again!)?
Help me out!
