Boy am I glad the Chick-fil-A game against Ole Miss was moved from last season to next season. Playing them last season would have sucked. Well, not completely, because as we all know well, even if they aren't ranked, a 0-12 SEC team is always better than an 12-0 Little Sister of the Poor. I mean, why else would Alabama get a boost in the rankings by beating them? Huh? Huh??
But have you seen Ole Miss lately? They had one of, if not THE, top recruiting class this year. They are stacked. The Running Rebs had their first winning season and went to their first bowl in I don't how many years. Sure they went 3-5 in the SEC, but those three wins were in the SEC West, the toughest
league, uh, conference, er I mean, division in College Football, if you can believe the hype. And all six of their losses came at the hands of teams that ended the season ranked in the AP Top 25. I will watch them very closely this upcoming season, and I will root for them along the way, especially when they play dUI on Sat. Oct. 26; and of course when they play the big evil Bama.
Suffice to say I am looking forward to the opening game in 2014. If we stay good and we beat them it will give us a serious boost to our cred. We got a huge boost after beating UGA. We moved up from #5 to #4 and stayed there for FOUR weeks!!
