A little extreme, I know. But, before you post on how horrible of a fan I am, let me clue you in. 1) I'm a fan, not a troll. I have only posted on obnug once or twice, but I check the blog every day. I argued with everyone who would listen that BSU was a legit top-25 team in the early days. I cried when we lost to Louisville in the Liberty Bowl heartbreaker. I was distraught for weeks after the Georgia debacle of '05. I was in attendance at the first Fiesta Bowl. I have lived in Oregon since 2008 (unfortunately, near Eugene and the insufferable Ducks fans), but I wear blue and orange out all the time and have to hear the BW quacking of green-and-yellow crazies. I love BSU and Boise. My family is on our way back. So, there you go on that.
BUT, while I will always appreciate what Coach Pete did, the last few days have been a revelation. Pete to Washington ... crickets from Chris. Then, we get his "have to" sit-downs with Jay Tust and Cripe, during which he bloviates about "as much integrity (as possible) in recruiting." I guess that includes rushing down to Cali, giving Jalen Greene an instagram opportunity, and offering up an official visit & scholly within a week. I guess that includes enticing Jaylen Johnson to "open up his recruiting." Whatever.
I just want to plead with Bronco Nation to absolutely embrace Harsin and the team. I thought that Pete understood how special Boise was; I really believe that Harsin gets it. This is where he wants to be. When I move back to Boise next summer (2014), I will be buying season tickets if I can afford it. I will do my best to be in attendance for the 2015 contest with UW on the Blue, and while I don't wish Pete any actual harm, I will boo him and cheer the boys. Since the rest of the Pac-12 is full of insufferable, snobbish institutions, I guess I wish for Pete to do well at UW. But, whatever the case - he is not a member of Bronco Nation anymore. We've got to rally around the "4th and 1" mantra of Hars and get over any remaining mourning. There is work to do! Go Broncos!
