How bout that bye week?

I was skeptical going into the bye week that come next week, the Broncos may drop out of the rankings and have an even tougher climb ahead of them. After some modest scoreboard watching today, I feel much better about those odds. I'll make this short and sweet for those who don't feel like scanning the Saturday thread or check every single score for the weekend. I'm not sure if this will become a regular posting for me, I rarely have free time like this, but after all the upsets today, I'm fairly excited... even if it is only week 2.

The Good:

Michigan State pummeled Central Michigan, 41-7.

Miami OH beat Southern Illinois, 30-14

BYU romped Weber State, 45-13.

SDSU took down Army, 42-7.

The Bad:

Fresno State lost to Oregon, 42-25.

New Mexico lost to Texas, 45-0.

Wyoming lost to Toledo, 34-31.

Colorado State lost to North Dakota State, 22-7.

Nevada lost to USF, 32-31.

The Funny:

dUI lost to Bowling Green, 21-13 and are now 0-2.

Bonus Points:

Unranked UCLA knocked off Nebraska (16), 36-30.

Unranked LA Monroe knocked off Arkansas (8), 34-31 in OT.

Unranked Oregon State knocked off Wisconsin (13), 10-7.

Currently being played:

UNLV up 14-7 over Northern Arizona in the 4th.

Unranked Arizona is up 23-14 over Oklahoma State at halftime.

By all accounts, even though we had a bye week, I think the Broncos faired quite well. I feel confident in predicting the Broncos will stay in/move into the top 25 depending on which poll you prefer to follow. Bring on Miami Ohio, and go Broncos!
