New commissioner Joe Bailey has said that they have commissioned a study to find alternate names. He said that they are likely to tweak the name then change it completely. I don't know how I feel about it. I mean if the Big Ten can have 12 teams and the Big 12 can have 10 teams then I don't see what the big deal is. On the other hand, when people say Big East they don't think of good football.

This was a little confusing because @ESPNResearch tweeted out the following yesterday:

However, apparently Chadd Cripe did some digging to find out that this was misleading wording some how. I'm guessing Watch ESPN padded the numbers and what Cripe is referring to is Nielsen ratings.
